OPEN RECORDS REQUESTS

NOTICE OF DESIGNATION OF OPEN RECORDS OFFICER

FOR DEKALB COUNTY BOARD OF ETHICS

The DeKalb County Board of Ethics is a public agency subject to the Open Records Act. By Resolution of the DeKalb County Board of Ethics, adopted at its regular meeting held July 15, 2021, the Ethics Administrator is designated as its Open Records Officer. All Open Records Act requests to the Board of Ethics shall be made in writing and served upon the Open Records Officer. The request may be emailed  to ethicsrecords@dekalbcountyga.gov or delivered to:

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71, persons making Open Records Act requests may be charged administrative and copying fees for the cost to search, retrieve, copy and supervise access to requested document(s) that are not otherwise subject to a legal exemption. This fee will represent the hourly rate of the lowest paid full-time employee with the necessary skill and training to respond to the request, with no charge for the first 15 minutes of the time it takes to respond to the request. The charge for each page copied is $.10 unless otherwise provided by law. The enforcement provisions of O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-73 and 74, shall only be available to enforce non-compliance of requests made consistent with this notice.
