Email: email@example.com William T. Clark Appointed by DeKalb County Superior Court; term ends 12/31/2024 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Bill Clark comes to the Dekalb Board of Ethics as the sole proprietor of Gold Dome Mediation Services, LLC, a company offering legislative mediation services to an array of organizations at the State Capitol, including corporate and nonprofit organizations, and their legislative advocates, in an effort to bring together disparate entities to craft win-win resolutions to public policy disputes. Bill started this venture after more than two decades of advocacy at the State Capitol on behalf of our fellow citizens of Georgia. Bill has lived in Dekalb County since moving here with his parents and siblings 50 years ago. He attended Dekalb County public schools (Smoke Rise Elementary School and Tucker High School) and attended college in Dekalb, as well, at Emory University on a courtesy scholarship. For the past 27 years, he and his wife have raised their family in unincorporated Dekalb, nestled between Atlanta and Decatur. So, Dekalb is in his blood. Bill obtained his undergraduate degree from Emory University (B.A. in Political Science) in 1985, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1988. He then practiced law for ten years before becoming an advocate at the State Capitol. Bill remains an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and serves on the State Bar’s Council on Legislation (2010 – present). He previously was an appointee to the State Bar’s Lawyers’ Wellness Committee (2017-2019) and the Bar’s Committee on Mandatory Lawyers’ Liability Insurance (2019). Bill was a member of the Georgia Professional Lobbyists Association and was an appointee to the State Board of Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council, Legislative Committee, for more than 20 years. Bill also was appointed by Georgia Governor Roy E. Barnes to the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Workers’ Compensation (2001-2003). Bill is an active member of the Lawyers’ Club of Atlanta, currently serving as Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee and as a member of the Long-Range Planning Committee. Bill is the proud husband of Robin Frazer Clark, Esq., and father of Chastain Bernard Clark (27) and Alexandria Harper Clark (24). Bill and Robin are members of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church and he serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors of the Druid Hills Golf Club. Bill and his family are avid fans and supporters of all University of Georgia and University of North Carolina athletics. Go Dawgs! Go Heels! Bill brings to the Board of Ethics no allegiance to any segment of the Dekalb County government or to any of its elected officials. Instead, he believes that we all have a responsibility to lift up the entire County and hold all of its elected officials and employees accountable to our fellow citizens and our fellow taxpayers – from Dunwoody to Stonecrest, from Stone Mountain to Decatur, from Panthersville to Brookhaven, from Avondale Estates to Lithonia, and everywhere in-between. He is committed to working for a better community here in Dekalb and throughout Georgia. Bill is honored to have the opportunity to serve the people of Dekalb County on its Board of Ethics and greatly appreciates his fellow Dekalb citizens who overwhelmingly indicated their support for the work of a fully functional Board of Ethics when they supported the public referendum that reconstituted the Board by a nearly 90% affirmative vote.
